Have just purchased 8.5 & installed on my office pc.
Software runs up:
1 - shows splash screen, bit unable to click anywhere
2 - loads a folder sych screen, that I can click to cancel, but does not cancel.
Programs both sit there and do nothing.
Unable to use, stop or do anything to either of them.
In Task Manager they are 'not responding' and have to be stopped from there.
Last night, installed on home PC & have the exactley the same issues.
Any help please?
(First program I have ever purchased that crashes 100% on running!
I find this amazing - especially for Ulead.)
Hope there is a solution.

I find what you're describing quite impossible. First of all Photo Explorer doesn't load something like a folder sync screen. And the chances that you install it on two pcs then crash in the same way is slim to none.
Check if both pcs you tried installing it to passes the minimum requirements set for Photo Explorer. Also, if you're using Windows 2000 or XP, make sure you have "Administator" privilages on your user account. Otherwise, Photo Explorer won't install or run properly on your computer.
It's also possible that the installer itself is damaged. Try copying the installer files to your hard drive. If you can't successfully copy the files, then that is the cause of your problem.

Are you using Folder Synchronization Software coupled with your Window Explorer, Norton, etc.?
If so Ulead may be crashing because it can not interface directly with Windows Explorer, the other software is interfering. If so I don’t know of a workaround for this problem other than turning off Folder Sync software feature, or uninstalling, depending on the software type, Microsoft or Third Party.
Try reinstalling PE after you have disabled the Folder Sync Software or feature. If it still crashes then you will have to contact the Sync Software Company or Ulead for Tech Support.
