PhotoImpact X3

Post by Tish »

Hello USA - I live in New Zealand and having bought PI8 and 10 I thought it would be a good idea to update to X3 as I enjoy the software so much. However, having gone through the process O/N 62014770, purchased on 21 April, all I have received is a trial for 30 days. I cannot seem to get a reply from anyone in Corel of why this should have happened. Please, can anyone help, say, with an email address ... Tish

Welcome to the forums, :)

You have not received a purchase confirmation email, that should also contain any download links? Check to make sure you provided them with your current and correct email address. Then check your spam folder, to make sure it didn't get routed to that.

To contact Corel via emal go to the is webpage:

Hi Ron - thank you so much for your assistance. Finally I have sorted the problem out and have PhotoImpact X3 up and running. Maybe they wait before giving the Serial No: to make sure that I had money in my bank account !!!! Anyway, the serial number came up when I checked their confirmation. Having downloaded the trial version may have caused a problem ... whatever it was I am delighted to play with it as the weather is not good today ... luv Anne Letitia

You should also have a link in your confirmation email to download a file called upix3_esd_e_content.exe. That is the file you also need to install, that contains all the content.

Hi Ron - yes, I found the Content Pack and have downloaded it, as well as the other two items in the Confirmation Order, though I don't know whether they will be any use!! Having always dealt with Ulead, I find Corel confusing ie codes instead of what the software is used for. Anyway, I'm delighted to be up and running with, for instance, Stamps, though I can't find the Outline Library any more ... just needs me to sit at my computer longer. However, must off to the Farmers Market for my organic vegetables - trying to stay healthy!!! Many thanks for your assistance, it is most appreciated this side of the world ... Tish

Glad to hear that you're almost 100% up and running.. :)

You have tried clicking on the Path tool>Outline drawing tool? When you do, and then go to the Easy Palette, it should open to the outline shapes. Installing the content pack, should have installed all of those.

Hi Ron - you are worth your weight in gold. Have found the outline drawings next to the Galleries ie called Libraries. It used to separate in PI 10. I love using it with Effect, Creative, Paint on Edges for my signature. Beautiful day here; been having lunch by the beach ... thanks again ... Anne Letitia (Tish)

There is also a Beginner's Workshop for PhotoImpact that is extremely helpful to those wishing to get a good hold on the software.
