I recorded a video from my TV and during recording everything looks normal.
However, when I play back the recording, everything is sped up. I can use VLC Media player
to slow down the playback speed to normal, but I can't figure out why the recorded stream
is faster than normal. Even when I burn the video to DVD, playback is faster than it should be.
Most streams recorded are played back just fine. Could it be that the source stream for this
particular video is different than most and if so, how do I get VS to compensate for this?
Can I use VS to play it back at the correct speed and rerecord the recorded stream?
Thanks for any assistance.

Re: VS X2 Playback is faster than original stream
What setup are you using to get the video from your TV to your PC? How is it connected, USB or Firewire? What capture format are you using?

Re: VS X2 Playback is faster than original stream
what are you referring to when you say "what setup". I'm using whatever defaults have been
set by the program. If you are referring to hardware setup, I use a a Sabrent capture device
I am connected via USB 2.0.
By capture format I'm assuming that you mean SVCD, AVI, DVD, etc?
I've tried them all and they all produce the same with the exception of AVI.
When I set to AVI I get the error message "Cannot Start the capture graph"
My pc is an intel 3.16 ghz cpu, 8gb memory, 512mb nvidia video card.
98% of all recordings are perfect. It's usually just 1 or 2 old movies that are
streamed that have this issue.
