Plugins not working

Post by nefrateari »

Hi everyone, I'm having a problem with certain plugins. When I try to use one my screen goes white and my computer freezes up.
I'm using pspx3 and my operating system is windows 7. Does anyone know what could be causing the problem and if there is a fix for it.
By the way I tried the patches but they tell me I don't need the patches. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Can you tell us which plugins are doing this to your system?

Elaine,

What do you mean you tried the patches? Are you saying you tried the internal updater and were not offered the patches or you tried to apply them and you received a message that you were already up-to-date? When you post the name of the plug-ins that are crashing, can you also post your version number - just click Help and About to find the version number. That will tell us which, if any, patches have been applied.

As a side note I've learned that patch #3 helped with some plug-ins and broke others.

Sorry, I didn't specify which plugins are not working. so far it's mura's clouds and zero.
I am using version 13.00. I tried the patches from corel website. I thought maybe they would help.
My sister is also using windows 7, version 13.00 and she was having the same problem. she said when she bought her new computer that she did not install the required 10 dlls and now all her plugins are working. I uninstalled the 10 dlls and I'm still having the same problem.
thanks for your help I really appreciate it.

Could I ask where this information about needing 10 DLLs comes from? It seems to be becoming popular advice, but it's not true, so it would be nice to know where it's coming from.

I'm in a group that makes stats for incredimail using paint shop pro and letter creator.
according to the file rules for the group I need the dlls so the plugins will work. I didn't have this problem with vista.
uninstalling the 10 dlls didn't help either, I'm still having the same problem. So can anyone help me?
