I've seen a couple of vids on youtube with black bars at top and bottom , like widescreen...

You could use the cropping filter and set it to 100% width and I would think about 60% height to give the proportions of the You Tube example. Keep in mind though that you will loose 40% of your normal height so you will loose a band at the top and bottom. Also remember to right click on the first keyframe in the cropping window and choose "Copy and Paste to all " otherwise the cropping will gradually alter as you run the clip! If you don't need to preserve the aspect then you could put the clip into the overlay track and just distort the clip to fit the area you want. This will badly distort the image though.

Thanks John, I will give that a try... Don't know if it will look too "arty" or even work for wildllife type stuff but I will give it a go...
