Downloaded and installed VSX4 and have been playing with it. (my stuttering is not happening in VSX4 (HUM?)
Anyway Corel told me I could import my smarttracks into VSX4 trial version, but I can seem to find the tab under the music for smarttracks. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Corel keeps changing these things, it's an icon with an S on it, to the right of the musical note.

Re: VSX4 Smarttracks
Thanks, but I do not have the S. Corel told em I would have to copy the folder over to where X4's file structure.
But I was going to just use X4 for the 30 days then pay the upgrade fee.
So in the file structure of XP (Not within VSX4 program) where does the installed place the Smarttracks folder?

Re: VSX4 Smarttracks
I just found it. It is on my timeline to the left of my WAV view adjustment. And all my tracks are there. I even reinstalled my NewBlue and pointed it to VSX4. If not for the 30 day limit I would have all the features. But alas in 30 days I buy. But worth it.

Re: VSX4 Smarttracks
Something isn't right with your VS X4. The trial version should have the icon to open SmartSound. It will find all the SmartSound QuickTracks on your system. With VS X3, it also uses QuickTracks 5, that has the Moods. If you could copy the folders from one place to another, you couldn't access them, if you don't have the Auto Music (SmartSound) icon.
When you click on the above it then opens up the Auto Music/Smart Sound
Now unless I'm not understanding what you really mean by SmartTracks, that's the only way to get the SmartSound QuickTracks.

Re: VSX4 Smarttracks
Where your red square/arrow is is where my is. (so many is's)
So I assume it is in the correct place.
One feature that I just love with X4, in X3 in order to transit on a second video track that is overlaid you had to edit and cut the part and put it on the primary track, this created several issues.
With X4 it give you total control over each track, also X3 did not allow transitions on tracks 2 and above for video. This is working out better than I could have guessed.

Re: VSX4 Smarttracks
Not true, transitions for clips in overlay tracks was introduced to VS in version X2. The push for this started back with VS 10, where we wanted to be able to cut the clips in the overlay tracks & apply transitions. So with VS 11 we can cut the clips in the overlay tracks, but not use transitions. Then in VS X2, we now could apply transitions.also X3 did not allow transitions on tracks 2 and above for video. T
So if you can not apply transitions to clips in the overlay tracks, you have something corrupted with your VS X3.

Re: VSX4 Smarttracks
Maybe what every is wrong with X3 is why is stutters.
May I sold my Sony and bought a way better camera because I thought it was the Sony. BUMMER! Not.
