I have an image that I want to save at 200 dpi. The image is a png file and is 550 by 550 in pixels. I currently have the image set a 1000.000 PPi -
Of course I own PSP X3 - and I probably should know this but anyway - ??????

Go to Image > Resize. Remove the tick from beside "Resample using", and set your new resolution in the top section.
Later, if you view the image's properties, you'll probably see the resolution as 78.74 pixels per centimeter. This is exactly the same as 200 pixels per inch, but PNGs use metric units for their resolution.
