Free resize of selection

Post by imaginato »

Hi.

I have just moved over to PP from PS and I can't quite find out how to do this:

I have placed a graphic image (jpeg) into a layer and I have selected it. I now want to free resize the graphic using dragging as I would in PS. How do I do this or is it only possible to resize using the specific size dialogue?

Thanks.
Mike.

Welcome to the forums,

Select the Pick tool, then with your image selected you should see nodes on each corner. When you move your mouse over the corner, it will have a shape tool-tip, like a rectangle or square. Grab the corner of the image and drag inward or out, to scale it.

Notice the Attributes bar across the top, when you have your object selected with the Pick Tool. There is a drop-down menu, where you can select what type of resizing, or altering you want. You can choose free-form, scale, perspective, or shear. If you're wanting to maintain the aspect ratio, select Scale, and make sure to use one of the corner handle/nodes.

 I didn't notice this tool hiding behind the move tool - doh.
That's done the job a real treat, bless you my friend.
