Just wanted to share a couple of simple scripts I created to help with noise removal and sharpening. Because they use a mask they are completely editable.
They have been tested in versions XI,X2,X3, and I'm pretty sure they will work in X also.
They can be downloaded from MEDIA FIRE

Re: Noise and Shapening Mask - Scripts
I downloaded and tried these scripts on a few pictures. Like most things of this nature, how well they do will depend on the particular image in question. So far, I particularly like the Sharpen script's effect on an image with a narrow depth of field. I plan to do additional experimentation with these as I get time.
I tested these scripts on PSP 8 through X3 Ultimate. On X2 Ultimate and X3 Ultimate, the scripts run straight through. On the others, they stop for parameters.
The scripts both ran fine on X2 Ultimate and X3 Ultimate. On XI, the Sharpen script worked (stopping as described above), but the Noise Removal script produced an error after stopping as described above and then running several minutes. Attempting to undo the script crashed PSP XI. Neither script worked on 8, 9, or X.
Thanks for the scripts.

Re: Noise and Shapening Mask - Scripts
I just edited both scripts.
The Sharpen one now works with PSP8 and 9.
The Noise Removal one now works with PSP9 (it seems that one command didn't exist with PSP8 so it will never work directly)
Now to figure out a way to upload them here (any idea?)

Re: Noise and Shapening Mask - Scripts
In a previous post, I used the Code feature of BBCode to supply a print template. To make use of a script supplied in that manner, one would have to copy the code to the clipboard and then save it into a text file of the appropriate name (using Notepad or such).Cassel wrote:Now to figure out a way to upload them here (any idea?)
Edit: Maybe it could be done as an attachment? I don't know what kinds of files are allowed as attachments, so this may or may not work.

You can enclose the documents in a zip file, and upload the zip file. The board places a 2MB limit on attachments.

Thanks Ron. I included both edited scripts in the attached file.
