cannot get past the menu- vs pro x2

Post by Beekeeper »

Video Studio pro X2 (12.0.98.0)

After editing my clips and am ready to burn,I select SHARE, CREATE DISK, DVD, create a menu and get stuck in a closed loop.Instead of NEXT after I preview the final product, the window has BACK, so I end up in the window where you select if you want a menu. Click NEXT and am back at the menu window with BACK in the box.

This same VS pro X2 was on my old computer (XP) and made many burns with no problems. I rechecked the help file and the manual, I cannot see what I am doing wrong to get stuck at this point.

I did use Roxio with windows dvd maker and burned the files with no problem.

You have to install the update patch for X2 which makes it compatible with Windows 7. In effect, it corrects the screen error which places the first NEXT button you mentioned way off screen. Or as a temporary fix, you can click Ctrl+N or Alt+N (I forget which!! ) which will move to the N[ext] screen.

Thanks.

I did go to the Corel site to find any updates, but they kept directing me to upgrades. Did a search of this site for win 7 and vs pro x2 and got the win 7 patch. Works fine.

Thanks.

Hi,

Could you post the link you found for W7? I'm using the X4 Trial I think.

Thank you!

X4 was designed for Win7 - you don't need a patch.

Well, when I went to burn my project to DVD, the Next button is dimmed out.

Any ideas why?

Thank you

Can you double-check if you are using VS X4 or VS X2?

If you are using VS X4, I would suggest that you reinstall the program, since you can still reinstall it until the trial period is over.

If you are using VS X2, you may want to read this KB article: http://corel.force.com/index/articles/e ... -Windows-7
