Hi, Wondering why I am getting an error message when I submit my entry to the Ulead competition which closes 5th June, next.
I have followed the guidelines exactly and on the three occasions I have tried submitting my entry I get the following message:
Error occurred while processing request
ODBC Error Code + 22001 (strong data right truncation)
Microsoft ODBC SQL Server Drive SQL Server String or binary data would be truncated
Any help on this would be appreciated - thanks Shercal

Hey I just wanted to let you know that I was getting an error message as well... I contacted the admin as it said to do, and I haven't heard anything back. I have spent alot of time on this contest..lol.. now I may not even get to have my in it.. As I am sure you have too.. Well if you here anything let me know, and I will do the same.. Thanks Good Luck

I just viewed the Web Site in Code form, and they have a glitch. It seems they created a long Entry Form the first time through.
For whatever reason they changed the Form to a Mini Form, <!--Add by Mimi Tsai on 5/14/2003-->.
However the Full form still exists, and is simply being blanked by a JavaScript function created in 2003???
There are other Code anomalies, you won't get through until the Code is cleaned up.

I too am getting an error message very similar to yours MysticalLibra and like you have spent ages on a design for the competition.
Thanks Keenart for the info, just wondering if they will extend the closing date from 6th June until the problem is sorted out.
Ulead are not well known for their support unfortunately and this is very offputting!

Hey thanks for your Reply.. Boy I tell you I am really upset about this 
.. I spent to much time working on this to just have wasted my time 
. I even tried contacting the contest address.. It was located under the contest rules.. Doesn't it figure that email bounced back... Well I agree with you on that its a really BIG turn off to see that this matter was taken care of so promptly to ensure long standing coustomers.. I myself own several Ulead products, but it makes me think twice about purchasing anymore if this is the respose to something that they are asking the public to do... Well suppose I will stick with my adobe and psp...Coustomer Service issues their have been handled promptly and professionaly.

Yes I agree, the lack of response is an extremely poor show by ULead and it is a general thing and not just related to this competition. Needlesstosay they are very unprofessional!
I too will be reconsidering what software to purchase in the future!
