I installed the download/trial version of X4. I decided to purchase but went through an education/academic seller since I work at a university and get better prices.
I thought I could just input the serial # of the disk I bought but obviously there is a difference in the 2-versions since it won't accept the "educational version" serial #.
So, I figure I need to uninstall the download/trial version and install the what I got on DVD.
I am concerned about loosing the info in the libraries. I made a spare copy of the projects, just in case the uninstall does something with them.

Hi
Export Library
There is an option to export the library, Settings-Library Manager
You should then be able to import once you have installed X4.
File--Smart Package……..
Will create a complete package of your project. May be useful

Hi
If you haven’t uninstalled the trial version you should be able to retrieve the library folders.
The files are called:-
VS_Video.dat
VS_Audio.dat….etc
For XP they are located here:-
C:\Documents and Settings\User Name\Application Data\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro\14.0\en-US
A similar location for Vista or W7 I assume.
Copy these to your hard drive, then replace after installing X4

Thanks for the info. This is a W7 system and I found the \...\Corel VideoStudio Pro\14.0\" directory and made a spare copy. Will go for un/reinstall. Thanks for the help.

Hi
Yes, the serial number that comes with the Academic versions of Corel programs will not work with the free trial. Just put all your backup files on single folder so that won't have any problems locating them when you import them back to the program.
