Thanks !

Re: Pen Tool
My question would be how are you getting it to auto-close? It's been my experience that each contour remains open unless you either connect the starting and end points yourself or hit the "close" button on the tool options.
These three videos show all of what I know about the Pen tool

Re: Pen Tool
Here's my sample at
http://www.toonyourlogo.com/sample.pspimage
Note - I tried to draw a line - It auto closed -
I tried to draw a L and it auto closed
I tried to draw a V and it auto closed.
Maybe you can look at my settings and tell me why everything I draw auto closes. I know it's something easy but ..............
Thanks for the videos but I don't think I seen any portion that addressed my problem -

Re: Pen Tool
I wouldn't be able to look at your settings because the PSPImage file does not include the settings you used. However, looking at the vectors themselves I can tell you what's wrong.
They aren't closed. At least they aren't closed as far as PSP is concerned.
The funny thing about vectors, at the very least in PSP, is that a closed vector is a vector whose start and end point are exactly the same. Because you have a separate node for both the start and end points they are open vectors, not closed.
May I ask what you consider to be an open and closed vector? How you define them? I would like to assume that to you an open vector should not have a fill until you close it? In PSP if you don't want the fill to show up you have to turn off the background/fill material on the materials palette.

Re: Pen Tool
Da Da - lol - I turned off the background and it works fine - I just started drawing on line for the first time around two months ago after buying a Genius 8 X6 Tablet in Anime Studio 7. That program isn't really designed to save jpg and png files so I snipp my work from the windows tool. Just silly cartoon stuff for my own entertainment and a few laughs. The lines are a little hacky in that program and it doesn't produce the line smoothing in free hand mode like PSP does so i thought I'd try to start drawing in PSP. Any hoot - The closed vector is the same in Anime Studio but you have an option to auto close or not to auto close and you can leave both the fill and stroke on in both modes. The starting and closing point may be a standard.
Thanks allot. That helps !
