SMART SOUNDS

Post by b1a1 »

Hi all,
I have a question regarding Smart Sounds. Video Studio Pro3X had a "library" of smart sounds that allowed one to create music clips to match video duration. When I installed X4, I noticed the aauto music function was not enabled. I also discovered that when smart sounds 5 tried to update in X3 that it maintianed that it could not find the source file. If anyone has any thoughtson what's going on, I would be appreciative.

Hi

What do you mean Auto Function not enabled????

X3 Auto Music Icon is to the right of preview screen (lower Icon)
X4 Auto Music Icon is below the preview screen, (right hand icon)

What actually happens when you select these icons?

Do you have two problems here, one with X4 and one with X3?????

problem partially solved...I had tried out another vid software program and in removing it, it removed the smart sounds common file. I re-installed the common file from the smart sound site and it solved the problem in X3. Iwith x4, there is no music icon except on the timeline, ..I am about to re-install x4 -hopefully that will solve the problem...will let you know.

There is no point in reinstalling until you have answered Brian's question, even if only to yourself:
Where did you install X4 from - Disc or download - if download did you download and install all three files ?
If you have the download version, and never downloaded the extra two files of added content, there is no point in reinstalling the first file, since that is not the one which installs SmartSound...

Ok, I didn't realize that I had only installed 2 of the 3 additional content folders for x4...now everything is working fine...thanks for your assistance!
