Ok, problem is, I have the EasyCap DC60++ and I am using it to play my wii on my computer. However, the audio is choppy. Ive fixed this before but I cant remember how to do it now. I know what I did is I changed the audio sample rate to 48000 HZ or w/e it was. I forgotten how to access the menu to change this!

Re: VS 10 audio choppy
Hi and welcome to the forums!
Unfortunately, though, I suspect you are yet another victime of a cheap knock-off capture device manufactured in China. Please read this thread on the subject: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 30#p211330 The fact that you got VS 10 SE with the package is further indication you don't have the authentic device.
That being said, there may be some indications in that thread how to get the best out of a bad deal. One suggestion I seem to recall is to connect the audio out connection from the device you are capturing from direct to your computer's Audio/Line In plugs...
One of the sounder suggestions may be to simply throw the device away and start again with something more likely to work properly!

Re: VS 10 audio choppy

Re: VS 10 audio choppy
This is done in the Share step. You need to use the Custom option at the bottom of the Create video file menu. Then press the Options button on the Video Save Options dialog. Go to the Compression tab, and the Audio settings are located at the bottom.

Re: VS 10 audio choppy
As Ron said, it is in the Share step. If you look above the preview screen, there are three tabs "Capture", "Edit" and "Share". If you click on the share tab, the screen changes to the right of the preview screen, and the first choice is "Create Video File". If you click that, in turn a menu will drop down, and Custom will be towards the bottom.

Re: VS 10 audio choppy
Oh ok. Weird.. the audio frequency is grey'd out so I cant change it. Does this setting change for the live preview window or just for that video only that's in the process of creation?
edit: oh i was using mpeg so that's why it grey'd out. Also ive realized that only changed the audio for that particular captured video. I'm looking to change the frequency for the preview actually. I know the setting is also with a set of audio controls and audio level indicators...

Re: VS 10 audio choppy
Then try the Project Properties settings, press ALT+Enter, or File menu>Project Properties. Press the Edit button, then go to the Compression tab. Make sure the Media Type is something other than NTSC or PAL DVD. You should be able to change it by pressing the drop-down menu arrow. Change it to MPEG-2. Then at the bottom in the Audio settings, you should be able to change the Audio Frequency.

Re: VS 10 audio choppy
hmm.. although that didn't change anything, I bet anything that it has to do with the drivers. As far as I know, the drivers that are installed on a 64 bit operating system must be signed to work. The thing is, the drivers included with this device are not signed so it won't work.. I am using the EasyCap DC60++ and using the current drivers:
USB 2861 Device
USB composite device
USB EMP audio device

Re: VS 10 audio choppy
It more than likely is a problem with driver incompatibility. Since VS 10 + does not easily run on a Win7 OS, and required a patch to run on Vista, AND you're using an SE (simplified, special) version, it will probably throw some more curves your way. I'm not saying that it absolutely can not run, just don't expect it to work as if it was just released. MSP 8 was not suppose to run on Vista, however with the minor audio problem easily worked around, I have it running on Vista.
