what updates

Post by cpp78 »

I have WinDVD Pro 2010 version 10.0.5.819 and in its message board it stated to download the newest update. Tried to do it and it failed. Went to Corel update list for the program and was confused on which ones I needed to install. I would appreciate any help to find out which updates to download and install.

I have encountered exactly the same glitch. See my note of 5 Apr'11:

We must hope that Corel will eventually notice and fix the problem.

I tried downloading and installing several of the updates and got the same message as you got nepenth.
I even tried downloading from within the program no action was noted.
I have Vista home premium so it happens no matter what the OS is.
As you said nepenthe we will see what Corel is going to do about this.
How by the way this happened once before and it eventually cleared up.

for those following this post
I remembered (poor memory) that I have a log of all installations of programs and updates. I went to it and found the following:
2/28/2010 Patch 3 installed from within WinDVD Pro 2010
4/23/2010 Received message in the program to down load tried it but nothing happened. Tried to download from Corel but had the same error messages described before.
8/18/2010 Patch 4 installed from within program
10/2/2010 Patch 5 installed from within program
12/6/10 Patch 6 installed from within program
2/24/11 Patch 7 installed from within program
Then what I reported in first posting took place
Interesting history isn't

You should be on at least 10.0.5.819 (patch 6) and there is a patch 7 on top of that that doesn't change the release number.
