Video Studio X4 and brightness FX

Post by canonian »

I am using the brightness FX on 47 second clip from the Canon 5D II .MOV file. I am applying the filter with -10 (yes negative 10 brightness) and it looks great in the beginning of the clip but as the clip is played in the preview it gets brighter and brighter until the video looks bleached. I thought maybe it was a rendering issue so I started an export mpeg 4 HD and watched the preview do the same. This clip is one of 12 clips that I am putting together as one continuous video.

If I take the video clip and make it the only clip in the project and apply a -10 brightness setting I get the same results.

Nearly every filter has the beginning value (in your case, -10) set differently than the ending value. They do this as an example of how keyframes work. What you need to do is in the filter settings click on the end keyframe and set the value to -10.
