Hiding the mouse pointer during full screen playback

Post by miskatonic83 »

I have started using WinDVD Pro 2010 for playback from a USB blu-ray drive. I am very happy with WinDVD except that the mouse pointer will not stay hidden during full screen playback. It disappears after a few seconds of no activity, only to reappear every 30 seconds. Is there a way to make the mouse pointer remain hidden continuously throughout playback?

edit 11th April: I am using WinDVD Pro 2010 10.0.5.713, which was sent to me on disc when I ordered the boxed version. I have checked for updates and it says there are none. I tried playing some XviD files from my hard drive and the pointer will not stay hidden during playback of those either. Every time the pointer reappears, I move my mouse a little bit and the pointer disappears after a few seconds of no activity, but again, the pointer will not STAY hidden like it should. I have tried switching from a USB mouse to an old PS/2 mouse and the pointer still wouldn't stay hidden during full screen playback. I don't want my mouse pointer popping up twice a minute while I'm trying to watch a movie. Has this happened to anyone else?
