Its very important for me as in CPT I can change easyly some levels in order to make different click pics or banners and so on... If I can not convert - which *.? database holds all the levels in oder to change one of them ?

You want to know if it's possible to convert a Corel Photo-Paint file into a format that Paint Shop Pro can read while still giving you access to all of the values and settings? Correct?

I want to say no because these are two completely different programs. But that all depends on what you mean by "change levels."

The best way to convert the file is to do so from Photo-Paint, export it as either a *.psp or *.psd image.

The two best file formats for use inside of Paint Shop Pro is it's own file format (*.psp or *.pspimage) and to a lesser extent the Photoshop file format (*.psd). Both maintain layers (though PSD files imported into Paint shop pro do not maintain layer groups or masks or layer settings) a number of other settings are maintained. But if you need something that is specific to Photo-Paint then I don't think you can convert that file into anything that will maintain most of what you want.

In case you're curios, Photo-Paint is still available inside of CorelDraw. That has the best chances of keeping your file intact.

What an unhelpful answer. Sure the programs are different, there is a constant upgrade race. Still, both are from Corel. I have long lost the old computer, that had Corel Photo-Paint installed. Now I have Corel Paint-Shop Pro X installed, and, of course, my old files are inaccessible. Obviously, they are two different programs. Sure. What an unreasonable expectation I have.

And your comment is chalk full of helpful info? Levi did say the best course of action, but you've chosen to single out a single sentence out of context. Sorry that you're having a tough go of it. Maybe you should start your own thread rather than tag onto another old one. Having your first post be one that criticizes a long time member is pretty bad form. The fact that you yourself failed to backup any install files from a program which you obviously find valuable isn't anyone's fault but your own.
