Image Capture for WinDVD10

Post by JessMorr06 »

I have a concern - I loved my WinDVD9 Plus, but recently found out that it's not compatible with my Windows 7 (I had WinDVD9 plus on my laptop, which had XP, but it died). WinDVD9 had Image Capture and with it, I could pause my movie and then move frame-by-frame, making sure I captured the exact image I wanted. My question is - does WinDVD10 have the same feature? I am aware that it has Image Capture, but will it let me move frame by frame? This is the only thing that is deterring me from purchasing it. Any help is much appreciated!

Why not just download the free trial and try it for yourself - this would also confirm that it runs satisfactorily on your computer as well before you purchase it.

Download a trial from here :-

@ BrianCee:

Thanks - I did download the free trial, and while there is an Image Capture, it doesn't give me the frame-by-frame option. I figured that the trial would only have certain options, whereas if I purchased the entire package, other extras would be included.

@Reste: Thanks, I will read your post!

Luckily WinDVD10 is one program where you should be satisfied with the upgrades and compatibility with Windows 7. It has all of the features you desire and then some.

There are bunch of XP Pro holdouts who have no intention of upgrading the OS. Comparative tests have confirmed that XP boots faster than Vista or Windows 7, and that applications start faster with XP. I particularly like 64-bit XP Pro, which is rock stable with the quad core Intel i-7 860 CPU, 16GB 1333MHz DDR3 memory, and the highly innovative EVGA GeForce GTX 470 SOC GPU.

I don't require DirectX 11 for 3-D gaming, so I have little incentive to wrestle with a Vista offspring OS that has relocated most of the configuration options. There was obviously a time when all WinDVD features were fully functional in XP, and Corel should ensure that such features remain fully functional.

XP remains popular because of its stability, speed, logical organization of configuration tools, and excellent 3rd party utilities (many are freeware). I would switch Blu-ray player software before upgrading 64-bit Windows XP Pro.
