VS X4 Won't Install - Crazy Message

Hi all.

I own VideoStudio Pro X3 and I just purchased X4 and downloaded it.
I tried installing X4 and received a crazy error message.
Rebooted, turned off anti-virus, tried installing, and got the same error.
Uninstalled X3 and tried installing X4...same error message.

This is the error message in this exact format:

Any ideas?

I don’t know if your issue is the same, but recent post regarding a problem installing X4 can be viewed here
There are instructions on how to cleanup and install X4

I upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit on my Vista computer.
Before that, my Video Studio Pro 3 worked in my Vista computer.
Also Video Studio 12 and Video Studio Pro 2.
No problems.
I then upgraded to Windows 7.
Now the Corel Video Studios Pro 2, 3 and the new Pro 4 will not open in my computer.
It is definitely the Windows 7 that is blocking it from opening.
I downloaded the trial Pro 4 on my old Windows XP and Pro 4 opened and worked.
Corel Video Studio and Windows 7 do not work.
It is as simple as that.

Hi Trevor, and thanks for taking the time to reply. Unfortunately, that solution doesn't apply, because you would have had to been able to install VS X4 in the first place; I don't even have a VS X4 directory yet, because as soon as I double-click the file for installation, I get the box with this message:

I've also to install to two different Windows 7 Machines, to no avail. Installs fine though in Vista.

GOOD NEWS: I got it installed with no problems - runs great.
BAD NEWS: I have no idea why.

TWO THINGS I DID DIFFERENTLY
1) I changed my Windows theme, because I was tired of it. I wasn't thinking a theme would have anything to do with an installation issue.
2) I downloaded VS X4 again. It came in the exact same size and with no apparent difference compared to the first file.

Once downloaded, I double-clicked, and voila!

I sure do hope this works for you guys still trying to get it installed.

Doesn't work for me. Was hoping that they had uploaded a repaired version of the file. Cyberlink PowerDirector sure does work nicely, though in 7 64 .

Why should they repair a file which has obviously worked for many other users?
