VideoStudioX2 VSP files

Post by hgs »

Hi new to this forum. I have just purchased and installed VideoStudioX4 onto a new PC. I still have an older PC running VideoStudioX2. When I try to load my existing X2 VSP files into my new version of VideoStudioX4, I get the error message "already in use".

Is this a file location problem or something more complicated?

Has anyone else had this problem?

Hope that someone can help?

Have you transferred all the relevant video files in the project to the new PC? I assume you realise that simply transferring the VSP project file is not enough as it is only a text file saying which videos are involved, where they are located and what editing has been done to them...?

Yep
Many thanks. I have hundreds of constructed utilities for X2. I now understand that I need either to alter my approach or duplicate my old folder structure on the new PC. But many thanks for your help!

Hello hgs,

How are you opening the VS X2 files? Are you accessing them via network from the old computer or you transferred all necessary files from the old computer to the new computer?
