I have two computers and in each after installing DVD Workshop 2, there is no sound when trying to make menus.
however, when I finally burn a menued DVD, it is FINE.
under WIN XP it works fine.

Probably due to the fact workshop was designed to work with XP and not under Vista or Win7, I'm afraid.

DVD Workshop 2 is not compatible with Windows 7, that can be the reason why you cannot hear the sounds when creating a menu.

You can visit http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 4516325170, to know which version of the Corel Software is compatible with Windows 7.

There is a workaround for you to make old program works on Windows 7, however we cannot assure you this is a 100% fool proof. You can use the Windows 7 Program Compatibility and the Windows XP Mode with Virtual PC, which are both from Microsoft.

You can follow the steps for Windows 7 Program Compatibility from this link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... of-Windows

You can download and install the Windows XP Mode with Virtual PC from this link: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtua ... nload.aspx.

You also want to consider using other Corel software, you can download the 30 day full working trial at http://www.corel.com/trials.

I am also using Win 7 and have DVD Workshop 2. There is no problem of sound. I think you reinstall installing DVD Workshop. I hope your problem will be solved.

I too have that same problem. I have made up a project, has 4 motion buttons on a plain black background. I expected to have a translucent "cursor" over the 1 st button but it is totally opaque. Also no sound. How ever, when I play the finished Video TS file all is well. Curious because it worked just fine in Win 7 on an older computer. I use Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. and have added the d3drm.dll file to the System 32 folder so that it works at all. I wonder if I can do a " Back to Menu" of 4 buttons with music plain black background in Corel Movie Factory pro 7???
