PSPPX3 Problem with Topaz Remask

The TopazLabs forum has had running reports from PSPPX3 users about failure of the program to run Topaz ReMask (both versions 2 & 3). ReMask worked fine through Patch #2. but it stopped working with the installation of Patch 3 and Patch 4 did not solve the problem.

The TopazLabs person who posts to their forums on a regular basis indicated TL has contacted Corel (several weeks ago), but had not heard back. One PSPPX3 user had a suggestion from Corel Support to roll back to Patch #2, according to the board.

Yes, patch #3 made some changes to the plugin system. Since the plugin system isn't really defined at all by Corel other than being generally compliant with an earlier version of Adobe's Photoshop Plugin format if Corel made a change to a particular function then this is something they would have a hard time fixing without either a lot of trial and error or direct help from Corel.

The incompatibility with plugins since SP 3 has been escalated. It seems to be a general problem and is not related to a particular plugin. The development team is aware of this problem.
