Filters Unlimited will not install in pspx3 on Vista

Post by Marki »

I have pspx3. My OS is Vista 64 bit.

I have recently installed and uninstalled PSPX3 quite a few times to get it to work.

Once, Filters Unlimited would install in psp, but now it doesn't, since the installs and uninstalls. Eye Candy doesn't either.

Can you tell me what I might be doing wrong please?

Take into considerations I know how to install filters.

Thanks!

Is it possible that your problems started after installing patch 3? The third PSPP X3 patch added support for plugins to work with 16 bit per channel images, but in the process caused some plugins to stop working... Topaz ReMask was one. The only fix would be to do a clean reinstall of X3 and only apply patch 2.
There is supposed to be a patch 5 in the works, but whether this will fix the filter problems, I don't know. This patch is taking a long time to come out. This could be a good thing if it means the long list of X3 bugs will finally get fixed by a comprehensive, well tested patch. It could be bad news if the patch has been shelved and the fixes will only be available in X4. This has happened in the past.
