Installation problem

I just purchased VS Pro X4. When I try to install it, it seems to hang. After some time, I have waited 8 hours, I cancel the job and get the message that SetupARP.exe is not responding. I have tried everything from cleaning out the registry to using a different DVD drive but to no avail. Is there something wrong wrong with the disk and if not, what suggestions would you make to get the system installed?
