Re: BURNING AND RENDERING TIME
Welcome to the forums,
First to use all capitol letters is considered SHOUTING in web parlance. While I do have a hearing problem, I can read fine, so please unstick your caps-lock key on your keyboard..
I would suspect the difference in rendering times is due to your workflow in VS 11. You're probably jumping straight into the burn module (Share>Create Disc), instead of first creating a video file from your project (Share>Create Video File). When you use a VSP file (VideoStudio Project File), in the burn module, VS still must create a DVD Compliant MPEG-2 file. I repeat that it must, as DVD Specs require it. When this is done in the burn module, you're computer is having to do more at one time. Actually if you would first create a video file in the editor, then insert the newly created video file in the burn module, the overall time is about the same, you just minimize the risk of something going wrong during the burn process.
With DVD MF7, are you inserting VSP files or MPEG-2 video files? If it is the latter, then the rendering process will be quick, because the video file is not being recoded.
In VS are your project files, DV (avi), MPEG-2, or some other video file format? You can right-click on them in the Library or time-line, select properties and post them here.

Re: BURNING AND RENDERING TIME
Hi
Rendering the video during the burner process is indicated by the progress bar.
Immediately after hitting Burn, if the progress bar indicates “Creating Title” then your files are being rendered, this process will take some time.
The Convert Properties used to render the files can be seen under the “Cogwheel” project settings lower left.
Ok
Using Video Studio, after Share Create Video File – DVD
1 / Start a new project, there are no clips in the timeline.
2 / Share Create Disc-DVD
3 / Add the video file created above. Just as you did when using DVD MF 7.
When you hit the Burn button the first process should be “create menu”
If you see “Create Title” then your files are being converted indicating something wrong with your settings.
By the way do not select “Normalize Audio” otherwise “Create Title “ will be seen.
