Videostudio X4: any NEW copyright free Music?

Post by mfvideos »

I'm getting tired of the included copyright free music in my X3...... has anyone checked to see if VideoStudio X4 has all new music, or some new music? Smart Music? Are there new effects, etc?

Just wanting to decide if I should upgrade from X3

Thanks
Kathy

SmartSound of course makes other music that can be purchased. I use a lot of Digital Juice music in my videos. Very high quality.

When you use Digital Juice music, does it create a natural ending like the Smart Music, based on the length of your video, or does it just face out when the video ends?

Thanks

Do you mean just copyright free - or are you also saying you want it money free.

There is a great deal of copyright free music to be found on the internet, but you have to pay for the better stuff, I am in the UK and make use of these two sites which I find very good :-

http://www.akmmusic.co.uk/cds.php

http://www.yopo.co.uk/

you can also find a great deal of free copyright free music - but unfortunately most of the free stuff sounds - - free

HI - so true! I was referring to VideoStudio's "Auto Music" whereby, no matter if your video is 30 seconds long, or 5 minutes long, the music ends with a natural sounding ending.. I guess that is the "auto" part. Otherwise, if you get music off the Internet, it's a certain length, say it's it's 2 minutes long, you need to somehow adjust your video to be that length in order for the music to play to it's proper sounding ending. In the old days, before Auto Music, I can remember adjusting the slide and video clip lengths, or inserting or taking out slides so that the video would be the same length as the music. LOL that was so crude. I hate it when the music just fades out, but I'm sure it's ok in some situations.

The VideoStudio purchased music, becomes Auto Music for sure. Just working on a budget most of the time, and if I purchase some music online through VS, I have spent the money and don't know for sure if the client will like it.

I never like to take a chance of using copyrighted music. Once a client gave me a video to upload for their web site, and YouTube emailed me within 10 minutes, to take it down, because it was copyrighted by Sony, I think, and I was not even aware of it. I then purchased a similar theme thru VideoStudio. So I love the auto music, but was hoping that by now, Corel would give us more types of auto music.

No, Digital Juice music will not end automatically at the end of your video.

Here's what I do. I have all my music in iTunes. I have created a playlist just for instrumentals. When I am looking for a certain song to fit a certain video I sort my playlist by the duration of the song. More often than not I find a song that fits perfectly, ending when the video ends.

Brian- thanks for that link. IT's a lot easier to use, than to pull each sample up and download into VS. It's instant. The music is quality! I love the "Groovy Party Pak" LOL

Thanks all!

Abiel -- I think you have got that link wrong. Unless there is something about SmartSound which is well hidden on that website, it is all about SoundTouch, which is a competing commercial technology to SmartSound. :? The SmartSound link -- including basic information on the royalty free status of the music -- is of course www.smartsound.com

Thanks for that link to Smart Sound. I see that there are many samples to try, and that they will deliver your download with a custom made length.
I have been using the wrong word - when I say copyright-free, I mean royalty-free. ;o)
