Videostudio pro trial x4 doesnt install!

First of all, there is no VideoStudio X5. Secondly, the screen shot you supplied shows PaintShop Photo X3. Can you please clarify.

Ummm... the image you uploaded shows that you have PaintShop Pro X3. There is no VS X5, trial or otherwise. X4 has only just been released, so if you have that and it is working, then you have the latest!

I ment x4 and that photo is the same as my issue but its videostudio not paintshop but it looks the same.

I have downloaded Videostudio trial x4 and i can't seem to install it. It starts the setup then it says Pleaase Wait... then it shows a black screen with Cancel and Next but i cannot click the Next button. I have downloaded Videostudio x3 trial and it worked fine but this wont download. I have tried to Restart, run as Administrator and reinstalling 3 times.

Motherboard: Windows 7 Hone Premium
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) 9150e Quad-Core Processor 1.80 GHz
Ram: 8.00 GB (7.75 usable)
Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 3400 Series
sound_card: Digital Audio (S/PDIF)
Hard_Drive_Capacity: 500,000,878,592 bytes 465 GB
System_Drive: Local Disk (C)

For other readers: this thread has become a bit confusing. dyaln444 first posted a message similar to the one above with the photo in it. But his message was slightly different, saying he had downloaded the trial version of X5 (yes, X5), and he was having trouble getting that to install. He also said that he had also downloaded the trial of X4 and had had no trouble with that.

Black Lab and I answered that as per our two posts at the top of this thread.

Then the original post disappeared, and the new one with slightly edited information appeared. That's the one with the photo in it. The times of each post will show the sequence in which these posts appeared, minus the first one which disappeared.

That being said, I cannot think of a solution. But since he apparently is also having the same problem with the trial of Paint Shop Pro X3, I would think he has a problem wider than just the trial of X4.

I ment Videostudio x4 and the other one i downloaded is x3 and im not haveing issues with paintshop just videostudio.

Hi Dyain444

I have watched your video of the X4 installation.
The program extracts the installation files to a temporary folder.
It then installs the program. Unfortunately you are cancelling the program before the installation is complete.

Do not press “cancel”

Be patient the installation process is usually slow, much slower than other programs.
I mean be patient.

just as it starts to install - you push the cancel button - WHY ???

VideoStudio is a quite complex programme and will take a lot more time than you are allowing to install

I clicked cancel because there is not progress bar and it doesnt do anything i have let it sit for 30 min so far and nothing happened. Does it take you to this screen normally? and how long does it take to download?

UPDATE: 2 hours 30 min and nothing happened just black screen.

Hi

It takes a long time, then the progress bar gets to abouy 30 % and takes a long time to move again.

Take a short walk, go for a cup of tea, but be patient but 2 hrs 30 does seem a long time.

Download the trial again to try a different file.

I redownloaded it again and it still has that black screen no progress bar and yes i did wait another 2h 30 min when i downloaded this new file of the website.

Hi

I did a search of the Corel Knowledge Base and found some reference to user accounts and being logged in as administrator.

I am not sure if this an issue with your computer but is worth a read……
I don’t use Windows 7 so hopefully others may help here…..
