I have been asked to make a slide show for the Easter Sunrise Service at our church. The slides will change to coordinate with a variety or musical solos and choir solos. They will obviously be live. How can I make a slide show that I can control advancement to the next slide? And is there a way to do that with transitions between slides?

With programs like VideoStudio, or Digital Studio, the slideshows are not like Power Point, where you have a Next/Previous button to advance it. They are videos. The program takes photos, and converts them to a video. So the only control would be Pausing the video, then pressing the Play button, which would have to be Paused again right away. You would have to create a DVD of your video slideshow, and use the customary buttons found on a DVD.

If you are looking for a program similar to PowerPoint, then you can try Word Perfect X5 or the Corel Home Office, which you can create slideshows similar to the PowerPoint Slideshow.
