Join Chapters (video clips)

I have a stereo Xacti Digital Movie Sanyo camera Model # VPC-C6EXE. I use to transfer to a DVD disk: Movie Factory 4.0. I get annoyed when playing back on a DVD player the gap of about 5 seconds from one section of the Video to the next section.

I have tried all the options on Movie Factory 4.0 with no success.
I have tried Movie Factory 6.0 but the format is not supported. What version of Movie Factory support MP4 FILE and does the Joning of the chapters (Video Clips)?
Is there any other version supporting MP4 Files?

Any help will be much appreciated.
