Is there a place or a link where I can find details of additional downloads,
the smart download dialog says click on the Contents Info button, but there is none that I can see.
Extra contents details?

I did several dozen times the last 1.5 years but I did not find the page where they explain what is in the extra contents.
Your link is referring to extras and goodies, I asked about additional contents as proposed by smart download from within VS9 (no offense!).
For instance,
this Coold3D 3.0 SE: is it or not the same as the 3.0 (without SE) installed by VS8 (download or not?)
the Smartsound full spectrum22K is it the same version as already present in V8 (when updated) or is there a difference ?
what is the DDR2.1 ( is that the same as the Disk Recorder 1.5 that is in the trial download, only in version 2.1)? If yes I already have umpteen programs doing that, where's the explanation?

Forget Smart Download, they already summarily executed it.
It is common practice for Trial Versions not to contain the most up-to-date features. After all they want you to hunger for the new after seeing the old, so they give you just a taste of what you would get in the Higher Priced version.
PI does give comparisons between its odder and newer versions but for some reason they did not do that in VS!?!!
It would seem you are going to have to click on every button on the Home page and scout every bit of information to get your answers. OR, contact Tech Support, a sometimes dreaded practice, of course not if you practice ZEN. Then one can learn and engender a life long attitude of patience. I like twiddling my thumbs better!
