Hi
I use some SmartSounds auto music in the beginning and end of my Youtube video blog, and so far have had no issues with Youtube questioning the material (I'm a Youtube Partner and get ad revenue fro my videos)
However, for my latest video they want for me to "prove" that I have the rights to use the music.
Telling them it was generated by SmartSmart sounds in my licenses copy of VideoStudio was not enough, they want further "proof" in the form of the actual license agreement saying that VideoStudio customers are free to use this music in "commercial" videos.
Does anyone have a link to the actual license agreement?
Thanks
Dave.

Re: Smart Sounds Licensing?
The EULA appears, like just about every other piece of software, during the installation process. So I guess you could run the installation file of whichever version of VS you are using again and halt it on the EULA, then churn through it to find if there is a reference to SmartSound. I have checked on the Corel site, and through its knowledge base but cannot immediately find any separate reference to the subject.
It strikes me as odd, however, that YouTube is unaware of the company and the fact that the SmartSound.com website trumpets "Royalty Free" all over it; and Corel.com also trumpets the same thing in its blurb on VS:
"Custom music
Customize your soundtrack with royalty-free music from SmartSound® or add your own tunes." (See http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... bview=tab2 )

Re: Smart Sounds Licensing?
Thanks.
Yes it is strange that more detailed info is not available.
Youtube are notorious fussy with this kind of stuff, but also quite random. I've had to same music in over a 100 video blogs now, and they have not questioned it before.
They like to say that something along the lines of "if the music was included in your software then that usually just fine", and then when you tell them that and point them to the source, they still want more info it's crazy.
I used to use Incompech music which youtube actually use in their example to Partners of what music you are allowed to use with credit, and they still questioned it and wanted "proof"!
I sent them these links:

http://www.smartsound.com/support/link. ... tail&id=28
lets see if that works...
