I am using PSP Pro X3. I need to change the color of a single color image but I have failed to understand the instructions. I have a hex code number for the required color.
The "Help" page did not help me.
Many thanks.

Re: Color change problem
It's a bit hard to answer this question without knowing a bit more about the image. Part of the difficulty is knowing exactly what you mean by "a single color image". It could mean something like a line drawing with pixels of just one colour on a background of another colour. But if that drawn line is anti-aliased, there could be dozens of paler shades along the edges. It could mean something like a black and white photo, which could really contain hundreds of colours.
The best answer will depend on the image. Is it possible to post a link to a copy of it? If not could you describe it a little further. What is the file format of the image... JPG, TIF, GIF or something else? If you go to Image > Image Information in PSP, what does it say in the "Pixel depth/colors" section? If you go to Image > Count Image Colors, how many colours does it say? What is the current colour and what is the required colour?

Re: Color change problem
I have posted the image here:
http://www.rotary9790.org.au/test/test.asp
It appears to be solid black. If I could change all the black pixels to #006666 I would be pleased.
Many thanks,

Re: Color change problem
The way I would do this is to set the Fill color to your #006666. This is done when you click on the color swatch, opening the Materials Properties dialog. The HTML code can be entered at the bottom. Next, using the Magic Wand tool, select all the black color, make sure that the Mode is set to Add, and the Match Mode set to Color or RGB, I found that Color works better. Once you have all the black color selected, go to the Flood Fill tool, and click on the selected areas. When you're finished go to Selection, and choose None.

Re: Color change problem
Thanks Ron,
I'll try that. It sounds complex.
Many thanks,
Robin
