The Organizer under PSP X3 is a regression. Under the previous PSP versions the Organizer used to open either at the bottom of the editor window or as a window within the editing work area. It was easy to select a picture and open it within the editing workarea. I used to find it useful, specially when working with a series of a same context-related images. Under X3, I have to switch between Organizer and the work area for every single object I need to open, which is useless, bothering, and time-wasting. I prefer to use the "open file" function instead of using this "disOrganizer". At least, the open-file function allows me to open multiple files at once
Is there a way to have Organizer running as it used to?
Thank You

Re: The Organizer under PSP X3 sucks!
Ummm....not as it used to but you can bring the current organizer into the full editor using something that seems closer to a bug than a feature.
First, inside the organizer right-click on any image and select "Add to Media Tray"
Next go to the full editor and turn on the Media Tray palette.
Right-click on the image in the media tray and select View Photo Info.
This will bring the Organizer into the full editor, essentially placing the full Editor into the Organizer's Preview area. You can then drag and re-size various elements of the workspace layout to make it all fit. Such as closing the Media Tray.
It's not the same as the original organizer but it's as close as I've found.
What's nice is that once you've added a photo to the Media Tray it should stay there so you shouldn't need to go to the Organizer and add a photo to it each time.
But like I said this seems more like a bug than anything else.

Thank you LeviFiction,
I'm going to try this right now. I'll keep you posted about the results.

Hello LeviFiction.
It worked as you said. Except that the room left for the workspace is notoriously decreased.
Anyway, this is better than having to deal with the "disOrganizer"
Thank you and regards,
Pavka.

Re: The Organizer under PSP X3 sucks!
Levi: As usual, good tip.
I am also not a fan or the current organizer.....(it seems that PSP was following in the footsteps of "the enemy" as that is how it is done in other programs. Not something I like in those programs so I have my own work around.) I hope Corel considers a way to leave the organizer open in X4.

Adverts for Corel products when you close PSP don't bother me.
