When will Paint Shop Photo Pro X4 be out?

In February a person I was talking to at Corel suggested there would be a beta test of something new (either a patch or an actual new version I wasn't paying enough attention) in a few months. So assuming I understood them properly, which is a big "if", I will make the assumption and say not for a bit. Hopefully they are going to do the official beta test again for X4 meaning it won't be out for a while.

Last year I took a survey and it asked what PSP would need to do for me to recommend X4 to others. That was before the third and fourth patches. Still no X4.

I still like PSP, just wish it worked a bit better and caught up with some of the other programs in terms of features. I realize to make that happen takes money....so often it takes the cost of an update to continue developing a program. I would continue to buy updates.....as long as I see some development....and in some ways I think X3 was a bit regressive. Anyway, it would be good to see what they will offer in X4.

Very roughly, the Coreol PSP releases have been once a year in the fall (September).
From memory, very approximately and without checking, something like:-
X 2005
XI 2006
X2 2007
X2 Ultimate 2008
X3 2009
X3 Ultimate 2010

So I would predict:
X4 Sept. 2011

Every version of PSP from PSP 6 to PSPP X3 Ultimate Edition has been released in August or September, except PSP 8 (April 2003) and the original version of X3 (January 2010).

Thanks, Tim, my memory isn't so good although I thought there was a longer delay with X3 coming out.

X3 is doing everything I need it to do. My problem is that it is so slow! I have a 6 core AMD that X3 is not compatible with, so it only will use 1 processor! Just patch that problem and I'm a happy camper!
