Issue with text centering

Post by SpacemanSpiff »

Greetings!

I've just recently upgraded to PSPX3 from PSP11 and I'm having trouble centering text.

I just created the following 200x200 200dpi RGB 8bit raster image
I then simply added "TEXT" and then used the Pick Tool to center the text on the canvas.
As can be seen from the attachment, the text is quite a bit left of center. [Note the selection box *is* nicely centered]
The same procedure never failed me in previous versions, do I have some attribute incorrectly set?

No, this is a problem with what appears to be an extra space added to the end of the text. Whether or not an actual white space character is placed there on acceptance of the text I don't know. But this extra space is what's throwing off the look. It's a known bug and we're hoping for a fix soon.

I've been starting off lines of text with a space with reasonable success. I'm sure it's not perfect and it is a little silly to have to do that but that's my temp work around.
