Corl PSP X3 is a mess, worst PSP since Corel owns it

Post by krazykenny »

hi,

first of all, my english is not very good, and I dont know how to explain the most stuff.

but PSP X3 is the worst PSP ever. the new gui is confusing. (pls go back to x2 style in x4)

there are so many bugs with cutting / using 256 colors / indexed colors...

text tool is very strange

hope there will be a "x4" in the old style

my english is not good enough to write all my problems with X3...

But as I did read here in the forum, I am not the only one, who has such as problems..

so pls...

Many would agree that X3 has its share of issues. However, installing all of the service packs will help, if you haven't done so.

You can get the text tool to work the same way as the "old" one by selecting the text tool, holding down the shift key, and then clicking where you want the text to go. This will open the text entry dialog that you have used in X2.

Many of the other GUI issues can be solved by making sure Tabbed Documents is not checked, in the Window menu. Also, in the View menu, try both settings for Use Graphite Workspace Theme, to see which one you prefer.

Hello krazykenny,

Just to add to what wds937 said.

You can download all the updates for PSP X3 at http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 9872271743.

Then to disable the tabbed view, you can click on the WINDOWS then remove the checkmark on the TABBED DOCUMENTS.

Any suggestions on how sluggish it is? Very slow opening RAW format, and doing manipulations it is very slow rendering.
