Nokukito -

There are a number of possible causes, not necessarily implicating a WinDVD bug. The most likely cause is the video card (GPU - Graphics Processor Unit). Desktop computers can have an onboard GPU (integrated into the motherboard circuitry) but the better desktop computers employ a separate card that plugs into a motherboard expansion slot.

If you have a NVIDIA GPU, the NVIDIA Control Panel provides a slider that lets you adjust responsiveness. The max quality setting might be overtaxing the GPU resulting in video flickering. If so, moving the slider to max performance will remedy that.

Check to see that you have installed the latest video card driver package. Be sure your power supply unit (PSU) has adequate reserve:

Then post back in this thread and provide more information regarding your hardware configuration.

Hello Nokukito,

Just to add to what nepenthe mention, you may also want to check on your display settings and the correct screen resolution. You should have at least 1280 x 768 screen resolution and choose the highest BIT RATE.

You may also want to update the program by downloading the updates from http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/ ... 5746622377

I've got the exact same problem. I've installed SP6 for WinDVD 2010 Pro (the latest) and the very latest AMD video drivers, all to no avail. The flickering for me only happens is full-screen, if video is in a window, all is fine. I can't seem to find a work-around to fix this.

Anyone got a clue? I've just paid for the full version, but it's totally unusable like this! Very disappointing...
