Ulead dvd decoder 2 problem with mediaplayer 10

I am using windows media player 10. Before installing videostuido 9 all was ok. Now all mpeg2 files are playing in a wierd scrunched up mode. Previously media player was using a different decoder to play mpeg 2 files. Now I see its using ulead dvd decoder. The video appears almost 16:9 but should be 4:3. The video is also pushed to the top of the screen with a large black bar cutting through the veideo. I have tried reinstalling both programs. Without VS9 all is good. As soon as its back so is the problem. I can't seem to find a way to select which decoder the player uses. Or how to remove just the ulead decoder. Also my audio on dvds will no longer play 5.1 due to the ulead audio decoder. Any ideas?
