basically you just split the video in two at the start of the piece you want to remove - then split it again at the end of the piece you want to remove - click on the piece you want to remove to highlight it - hit your delete key - and it's gone - do that as often as you like during the length of yur video to remove all the bits you do not want.
remember thaat Videostudio never makes any actual cuts - their all virtual - so if you make a mistake just use the undo icon to step back to make your corrections.

Hi RainPure
This web page was made for VS 8 but the principles of navigating the timeline and cutting a clip haven’t changed.
http://lata.me.uk/video_studio/tutorials/edit/edit.htm
More upto date explaining the blue bar below the preview screen may also be useful
http://lata.me.uk/corel_guide/Blue%20Bar.htm
Its just practice
PS you will not find a more patient bunch of people than here on the forum.

Hello RainPure,
Here's another video tutorial that you can follow in removing a clip in the middle of the video.
You can use the Trimming Clips the video is using VS X3 but you can still apply that on VS X4
And the Multi-trim using VS X4.
[vimeo]http://www.vimeo.com/19413810[/vimeo]
If you do not have VS X4 yet, then you can download the trial at http://www.corel.com/trials.
