I purchased PSP X3 and the font size is not working properly.
When I use the text tool on a vector, the font is soo small you cant read it. I have the font size set to 16 and even if I raise it all the way to 72 it is just barely legible. Does anyone know how i can fix it.
I was using the free trial without any problems. Then I bought the program off of Amazon and the first time I used it after installing the new serial number this problem came up.
Please help.
I download the 1st 2 patches off of the Corel site but it didn't change anything.

Re: Font size of text not accurate
There are two methods used for setting text size in PSP. Beside the section of the Tools Options Palette where you set the font and the size, you will see an option to choose either "Points" or "Pixels".
When this is set to Pixels, the text will be that height in pixels. So if you choose 20 pixels as the size, you text will be about 20 pixels high, from the bottom of a "j" or a "g" to the top of a "B" or a "b". (Many fonts have a blank pixel or two at the top or bottom, so it's usually a little smaller than the nominal size).
When the size is set to "Points" the size is set to give a particular printed size, so the size you see on screen will depend on the image's resolution. Points are 1/72 of an inch, so if you set a size of 36 points the text will be half an inch high (when printed). If your image has a resolution of 72 pixels per inch, the text will also be about 36 pixels high. If the image has a resolution of 300 pixels per inch, the text will be 150 pixels high. The size you see on screen will depend on the zoom level of your image, but won't be the same as its printed size. On screen images don't have a size in inches, just pixels.
So choose a unit that suits the purpose of your image... pixels for on screen, points for print. (Remember to take the zoom level into account when you look at the image, and to set the image resolution if it is to be printed).
You can also enter other sizes into the font size, than the ones shown. Click on the number and enter your own size and press Enter. You can use any size from 1 to 1638 pixels. (The limit is in pixels so the range you can use for points will depend on how it translates to pixels at your image's resolution).
Finally as far as patches go, the ones that you need will depend on the version number you have installed. You will never need patch 1, because it is included in patch 2. With patch 2 installed, the original PSPP X3 becomes version 13.2.0.35. X3 Ultimate is already 13.2.0.41.
If you installed the original 13.00 version of X3 you need patches 2, 3 and 4 installed in that order. If you have X3 Ultimate you only need patches 3 and 4.

Re: Font size of text not accurate
13.2.1.20 is the version number after patch 4 is installed. It is the same for both X3 and X3 Ultimate, which are identical.
The original version of X3 was 13.00
After patch 1 it became 13.0.0.253.
After patch 2 it became 13.2.0.35.
Ultimate was originally 13.2.0.41.
After patch 3 both versions will be 13.2.1.15
And after patch 4 they are 13.2.1.20.
