VS Pro X4 - Can't Download Font Pack 2

Having learned the drill with VS Pro X3, I went right to the "Do More" tab to download Extra Templates, Font Packs, and Title Packs after completing my new VS Pro X4 installation. Almost all of the "Free" packs downloaded and installed as expected without incident. (The word INSTALLED now appears under each successfully installed pack in the list of downloaded elements which originally showed a button reading DOWNLOAD NOW.)

However, for some unexplained reason, when I click my mouse on the DOWNLOAD NOW button for Font Pack 2, I see a very brief busy icon, followed by no noticeable response from the server. No error message is given.

I have tried closing VS Pro X4 and then relaunching the app before attempting to download Font Pack 2. I have tried closing VS Pro X4 and then rebooting my PC before relaunching the app and attempting to download Font Pack 2. Neither tactic succeeded.

What am I doing wrong?

It just occurred to me that I had never gotten around to downloading the font and title packs. So I just did. All downloaded and installed correctly, and after restarting my computer, all are now shown as "Installed" including Font Pack 2. So I am afraid I don't know what is going wrong on your set-up...

You may want to restart the computer before attempting to download the FONT PACK 2 again, since I also downloaded the font pack 2 and I was able to down and install it without any problem.

But if you are able to download the file but have not installed it yet, then you can locate the setup file from the folder C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Temp\Corel VideoStudio Pro\14\, from there just double click on the file to install it.

Thank you Abiel and Ken, but I am not able to download Font Pack 2, so the folder at C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Temp\Corel VideoStudio Pro\ is empty.

Actually I found three Corel subfolders inside the Temp folder. They are:

1) "C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Temp\Corel VideoStudio Pro\"
2) "C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Temp\Corel VideoStudio Pro X3\" and
3) "C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\Temp\Corel VideoStudio Pro X4\".

All three subfolders, which were created by the installer, are currently empty.

I should also mention that I have a paid version of VS Pro X4, not the TBYB version.

I have restarted my computer as many as ten times since encountering this failure to download. Alas, rebooting has not helped.

When I position my mouse pointer over the DOWNLOAD NOW button for Font Pack 2 and click my left mouse button, I see a very brief "busy" icon, lasting less than one second. However, the "busy" icon aborts and the download does not begin. No error message is given and there is no response from the server. This is puzzling because all of the other Do More files that I have attempted to download have executed flawlessly.

For instance, I have successfully downloaded and installed 27 free template files under "Do More" for VS Pro X4. I successfully downloaded and installed Font Packs 1, 3 and 4, and Title Packs 5, 6, and 7 with no problems.

I'm particularly frustrated because Font Pack 2 contains a script font that I need to use in a project which was begun under Corel VideoStudio Pro X3. I decided to abandon version X3 because the audio of my project developed stuttering after I applied Patch 3 last November.

Would you be able to supply me with a direct link to download only that single Font Pack 2 file that refuses to download via the "Do More" method?

Although it says "Title_02", I am pretty sure it is really the second font pack.

I am having a similiar problem to mrbobbell but I am unable to dwonload Font Pack 1. When I go to the Do More Tab it says that it is already installed.

I did have the TBYB version installed with font pack 1 installed as well but I had to do a complete uninstall because of some issues. I then bought, downloaded, and installed a liscensed copy of VS Pro X4 but now I am unable to download Font Pack 1 because it says it is installed which it is not.

Is it possible for you to supply me with a direct link to download only Font Pack 1 or can you provide another solution to getting Font Pack 1?

If you have installed them previously, you might try looking in the following place on your Vista & possibly Win7 System. The exe file is maintained there. I think that if the program sees these folders and files, it will list them as having been downloaded and installed.

C:\ProgramData\Corel\Downloads\540244232_807001\1289374189255

What I have actually downloaded from the Corel Guide, and I've recently re-installed VS X4, and none of these changed.

FWIW, the DoMore_Title_01 file I gave a link to above is in C:\ProgramData\Corel\Downloads\540244232_410003\1289374189747 on my system... So you coyuld start by looking to see if you have 1289374189747 and what it has under it...

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the link to Font Pack 1. It was making me a bit crazy not to be able to download them and use them! I appreciate the help.

Thanks for the suggestion of looking in the Corel Download folder in Program Data. Nothing was there except for patches for PaintShop Pro. I will definetly keep the location in mind if I run into problems again.


I also have a question about the Corel Guide Flash Screen which has the tabs for Home, Learn, Do More and Messages. Mrbobbell said he downloaded 27 templates under Titles as well as font packs 1,2,3,4 and Title Pack 5,6,7. My splash screen only has links to 16 templates, 4 font packs and 2 Title Packs (5 and 6) only. I thought the TBYB version had more templates links as well. Any theories as to why they are not showing up?
