Turning off play after creating in X4
Hi Gang...Is there a way to change VS X4's setting to play after creating an MPEG file. After I edit a file, I create an MPEG, either DVD or Blu-Ray, and I have to go into options everytime to turn off the play after creating default. If I forget, I can be laying in bed and the file will start playing, annoying me and worse, my wife! Is there a solution?
Regards...Bruce

Hi
and welcome to the forums
Don’t know if that’s possible, but will have a look around, maybe someone else will have a suggestion.
In the meantime, why don’t you just turn off/mute the speakers.

It's right there... press the options button, found in the dialog when you go to render your project.

If you are adventurous, you may find a setting in the "ini" files within the programs directory.
Now using Adobe Premiere and Photoshop

No need to poke around ... just do precisely what Ron has directed you to.
It will do exactly what you are after.

Bruce would like the option turned off by default.
Never to play the video after render.
As Ron shows we can turn it off, but not forever.................

Re: Turning off play after creating in X4
Have you done just a basic search on your system for ".ini", in the VS X4 folder? There are at least 5000 ini files in that folder, sub-folders alone. I don't know which one of those might contain the instructions for what you want. I have no interest in doing that to my install, so have fun going through them..

Edited
The one file that I thought such an instruction would be found in, the uvs.ini file didn't have anything that would enable/disable that function. That's 1 down, 4,999+ more to go. Maybe by VS X20 we can locate it...
