Post by troedeljahn »

Hallo,

I cam from Germany and I hope, you will understand my Question.

I´m working withe PSP X III. Now I have installed the Plugin Knochout 2. I can find this plugin.

When I open a jpg foto an I want to use this plugin, than i get the error message: It a wrong format. Perhaps I have no level.

Perhaps some can explain to me, what I must do.

Not familiar with the plugin myself. Have you promoted the background layer to a regular raster layer? I'm assuming it needs transparency and the default background layer doesn't have that.

So either duplicate the layer, or promote it to a regular raster layer from the Layer menu.

Of some plugins no longer work properly with X3 because of a change made to the plugin system. I'm not going to tell you that that's what happened, but there is the possibility that the plugin won't work with X3.

I try´d it. I change to a raster layer, I duplicate the layer, i have open a transparent layer. Nothing works.

Thank you for your answer. I will now install psp x II again and will look, if it works there.

Hello troedeljahn,

As far as I know KO 2.0 is only compatible with "Microsoft Windows® 98, Windows 2000, Windows NT® 4.0, Windows ME or Windows XP" and may not work with PSP X3.

Have you tried the Object Extractor? It's located under the Image Menu in PSP X3.
PSPX9 | PSP2020 | PSP2021| PSP2022 | PSP2023 & PhotoMirage installed; PSPX | PSPX2 thru PSP2019 owned but not installed

Yes, I´ve tried it. But the results are not so spectacular. There are a lot of things, you must reproduce.

I´ve tried the wand, freehand. that works good, but it is a little difficult if you want cut hairs.

Thanx for you idea
