Hi

I believe your capture devise is similar to EasyCap, there have been many posts regarding this product. Unfortunately some devices are, shall we say fake and do not work correctly.
There is a post at the top of this forum regarding Easycap.

Ok
First the Video Studio program supplied with the device is most likely a SE version.
Video Studio 10 is not fully compatible with Windows 7
Second the requirements supplied within the link you gave does not mention Windows 7

Using the device with VS 10, your audio source should be USB Audio.
Are you able to select this option.
Select the Options Cogwheel-Video and Audio Capture Properties………

Hello gillonio,

If you are using VS 10 on Windows 7 that could be the problem, since VS 10 is not compatible with Windows 7. You may also want to check this page http://www.micropactech.com/ver2/index. ... mid=999999, the manufacturer of your device and it says on the requirements.

Requirements :
USB: Compliant USB 2.0 free port
OS: Windows 2000, XP or VISTA
CPU: Pentium III 800 above
Memory: 256MB of RAM
HD: 600 MB of available hard drive space for program installation File
Format: Support 4 GB+ hard drive space for video capture and editing
Display: Windows-compatible display with at least 1024x768
Sound card: compatible Windows-sound card

Which could also be the cause of your problem but just incase you can try downloading the latest version of VideoStudio the version X4 and see if that will work for you. You can download the trial at http://www.corel.com/trials.

i tried with video studio 11 i and i chat with corel online help and they recomended me video studio x4 . with both programs same problem message "failed to initialize the video capture plug -in.another program may be using it or the file has been moved.open drive failed.cannot create the video capture filter".
one more interesting situation.i used vs 10 with my device normaly on win 7 and capture video from my vcr and picture was good and sound was there . in meanwhile i update drivers of my comp and i that assume that my problem has something with it.
