Shermonb wrote:I'm having a issue similar to this. But i tried all these steps and the black bars arent going anywhere. The video can be stretched and it shows that it is but its hiding behind the black bars on the side. I'v recorded in 16:9. Its 1920 x 1080. So i tried 4:3 as well and it looks awful that way. Am I missing something?
Please try this.............
open Video Studio, press f6, change background color to green
insert your video to the overlay track, this will show as a smaller image surrounded by green

Are there any black bars showing on the smaller image?
Select the word Project adjacent to play button
Edit - Take a snapshot - that creates an image of the screen saved to the working folder.

Thanks for the quick response. I added the photos you asked for. I also tried to render it then watch it on Windows Media Player and it had the bars but after uploading it to youtube the bars were gone. I'm guessing that was because of the preview mode and for some odd reason a setting in WIndows Media Player. The video came out just fine when uploaded to Youtube. Sorry to have wasted your time >_<

This is after i changed the screen to green and added the movie to the overlay. I see there are no bars here. But when the video is rendered there are.

The settings I normally use.
