PSP X3 keeps bothering me with already installed updates

Post by benoitvm »

I juts installed the proposed updates today (13.2.1.20), but everytime I quit the app, it keeps bothering me with an "Update ready for installation". When I click on "install now", the result is of course that no updates need to be installed.

How do I clear this obsolete update queue ?

The updater has perhaps been fooled by the fact that the first installation attempt failed (access denied, but no UAC dialog presented ??); I then raised my privilege level to admin and successfully installed the updates. But now it keeps bothering me.

Hello benoitvm,

Please follow these steps.

Open the RUN bar then type %APPDATA% > OK then locate the COREL folder then delete all the files inside the MESSAGE folder.

Great, thanks.

Strange that while being logged in as a standard user (Win7/64), when I initially accepted to install the proposed updates, I got an access denied error, instead of an UAC prompt (to install the update as admin).
