8mm video clip not coming out clear after video studio prox3
After collecting the clips with honestech 4.0 deluxe the clips are like original. But after putting clips through video studio pro x3 the finished product is like wavy or pixelated at various places on the screen. It is like looking at an image in a heatwave.
Is there something I am doing wrong during the processing in putting a video together with video studio.Pro x3?
Any ideas to correct this?

Welcome to the forums,
We need some more information to be able to better help you. Please go to the Sticky at the top of this forum titled Please Read this First before Posting, and return with the information needed.
For example, you stated that your clips were 8mm, where they the old 8mm film, Hi-8 (analog), or Digital-8? That's just a starting point. In the sticky post, it
points out information that is needed.

Yes.sorry it is the hi-8 tapes. I used a software to collect it from camera to pc........and the quality is like original but it is after being used in the video studio that the video quality changes. I used a sony ccd trv 138 camcorder with night shot for recording on the tapes.

Can you tell us just what workflow/processes you used.
Please Read this before Posting is a guide to what we need to know
OK
From the timeline, Right click an original video file and select properties , What are they?
After editing what options did you use to create the video file? Share Create Video File --???
What are you trying to make, a DVD or video for the internet?
X3 comes with the DVD Factory Pro 2010 authoring program, do not use this, instead use DVD Movie Factory 7SE
MF7se is a free download for X3 owners.

Re: 8mm video clip not coming out clear after video studio p
As far as I can see from the properties as:
File format: ntsc dvd
Video-type :mpeg-2 video
Attributes: 24 bits 720x480 4:3 and also 24 bits 720x480 16:9
Frame rate: 29.970 frames/sec
Data rate: 8000kbps
Audio: mpeg audio layers 2 files
Attributes: 48000hz 16bit stereo
I used the custom from create video files (share) and saved as mpeg files.
Does this help? Andrew I can email a short sample clip (original) and then a finished copy from x3 then you can see the whole picture.
I need to resolve this issue before I can produce clips.

Hi
Right click a clip and select properties, what does the frame order show, Upper or Lower field first.
After editing your project go to Share Create Video File, Same as first video clip.
This should use your original properties to create the new video file.
