Hello everyone,
What programs are available to create dvd menu templates to be used in VS X4? Right now I'm using the TBYB version but if I were to purchase I would like to be able to create and addin my own templates since there dont appear to be very many that come with the program, only a couple that I can see anyways.
I like the fact that I can burn video files and menus to disc within VS but the current selection of menus makes this feature mostly useless so I'm wondering how I could add more.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

FYI - The TBYB version does have fewer content, to save on download time.

Hi
and welcome to the forums
The full version has 40 separate templates contained with in the Smart Scene, Text and Thumbnail Menu’s
at least thats what i see
All can be customised to some degree and saved to Favourites.
From the Edit Tab---Choose the Customise option, apply some edits, maybe change the background image.
Hit the “Add to menu templates”, below preview screen.
Template available via Gallery-Favourites

Hello Chachoze,
Aside from the things that was already mention on this thread. You can actually use VS X4 and create your own template. Here's how to create your own template.
1. Open the video project that you want to save as a templete.
2. Click File > Export as template.
3. Click Yes when prompted to save your project.
4. Enter a File name, Subject and Description.
5. Browse for the folder where you want to save your template and click Save.
6. In the Export project as template dialog box, move the slider to display the thumbnail that you want to use for the template and indicate the path and folder name.
7. Click OK.

Re: DVD Menu Templates?
Just to make it absolutely clear, Abiel is talking about creating a *project* template for the whole video project, not just a menu template as was the theme of this thread.

Thanks for the reply everyone!
Do you know if there are any blank type dvd menu templates that come with the full version that I can customize with my own material? I see that I can customize the few that come with the demo but they have some type of special effects or graphic images that I am unable to change. Some come with color boxes and things that I cant seem to alter, only hide them or hide them by altering their transparency. I was able to customize one of the menus to suite my project with a fair amount of success but I guess I was hoping for a little more flexibility.

No there are no 'blank' templates with the full version - but I am not sure what a blank template would look like - to me it would look like any of the templates you already have. As you have already found you can hide many of the items shown on the existing template, and I think you will find that you can change just about every thing in any one of the supplied menu templates - on many of them just changing the background image will remove much of what is supplied - you can also use a video for the background - you can change the number of thumbnails etc. - change their shape - change their positions it goes on and on - starting with any one of the supplied one it is very easy within VS to make a completely different one totally different to the one you started with - having done all that you save the template within VS and it will be available for future use as well as forming the basis for even further modifications into yet another template.
For instance here is a genuine menu template I made a couple of years back - as you can see it is nothing like any of the supplied ones although thats what it was made from
.. And here is another genuine template although I must confess I never actually used it - I just made it up to demonstrate to another user what can be done - the eight thumbnails are deliberately different sizes for demonstration purposes and all work - as you can see again it looks nothing like any of the supplied ones - but thats where it came from.
. ..
Play with the DVD menus - you will be very surprised what you can do.
